ABOUT
Dotti Caldwell is a licensed professional therapist who has been serving individuals and families in the counseling field for over 17 years. She is new to the West Michigan area and she and her family are thrilled to make their new home in Holland. She has experience working with individuals and families in schools, community mental health and church settings. She is an adjunct instructor at Spring Arbor University; she has spoken at women’s retreats and has led workshops addressing mental health and spiritual themes.

COUNSELING METHOD
Dotti counsels from a Christian, faith-based, cognitive behavioral model. She is passionate about empowering individuals to overcome life’s difficulties, challenging them to become who they were created to be, by assisting them to find their passion and purpose. Her goal is to be led by the Holy Spirit to provide creative tools and strategies to overcome obstacles that interfere with living the “Abundant Life” God planned for us.
As a Christian, she believes that our spiritual, emotional and physical well being is highly integrated and a holistic approach is most effective. For this reason she incorporates spiritual principles within the counseling session to the degree that is comfortable for the client.
Her perspective is that counseling need not to be a long and drawn out process. Many issues can be dealt with in a timely manner if the client is ready to try a different approach. She believes counseling is an investment that pays great dividends in one’s quality of life, both in the short term and for generations to come.
SCHEDULE
